Board of Directors

Traci Farden, President

I am excited to be part of a non-profit organization filled with driven & compassionate individuals who share a vision to make a difference in tomorrow.  I believe I have a responsibility to do my best to make the world a better place. Being part of Making Tomorrow Better allows me the privilege of giving back to our community while striving to be a positive example for my children.

Pamela Gill, Vice President

Mental health issues can impact your family, friends or neighbors - regardless of socioeconomic status, race or ethnicity. I want to provide support to people who are navigating turbulent times that can overwhelm even the strongest of us. I want people to know that they are not alone.

Makrina (Gina) Vahlas, Secretary

Working together with this group for a better tomorrow allows me to take action on my thoughts and feelings of love, kindness, compassion and respect for all. I take inspiration from Margaret Mead, who said, “Never doubt that a group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world: indeed, it's the only thing that ever has.”

Sheryl Ullrich, Treasurer

I am honoured to be part of Making Tomorrow Better and to be associated with a dedicated group of people (friends) working towards this goal.  If we all give back, just a little, we can make a huge impact for those who need our help.  Like my fellow board members, volunteers and supporters, I want to make a difference and help our community.

Kelley Chalmers, Special Events Director

I believe in shining a bright light on mental health. By creating awareness that 1 in 2 people have struggled with mental health, we can create acceptance. Creating a more inclusive and caring community for us all.

Natalee Chin, Director at Large

The extreme pleasure I get when helping and making a difference in people’s life and the community, is immeasurable. I find my advocacy work helps to strengthen my own mental health recovery, leadership growth, and ultimately empowerment and personal fulfillment. Throughout my journey in life, I have learned that “the more I give, the more I receive” and I’m truly honored to be a part of this worthy non-profit fundraising group, Making Tomorrow Better.
